Deep breathing
Keeps the lungs clear and calms pain after surgery
How to do it
- 1Sit up or lie with your head raised.
- 2Breathe in slowly through your nose, letting your belly rise, for 4 seconds.
- 3Hold for 2 seconds.
- 4Breathe out gently through pursed lips for 6 seconds.
Do a set every hour you are awake on the first days after an operation.
