Seated knee extension
Regains a fully straight knee after surgery
How to do it
- 1Sit on a chair with the affected foot resting on another chair in front, knee unsupported.
- 2Let the knee sag straight with gravity, relaxing the thigh.
- 3Hold 2–5 minutes, breathing normally.
- 4Then tighten the thigh 10 times.
A stretching ache behind the knee is expected; do not place weight on top of the knee.
