Side plank on knees
Builds the side trunk muscles that steady the spine
How to do it
- 1Lie on your side, propped on your forearm with your elbow under your shoulder, knees bent.
- 2Lift your hips so your body forms a straight line from head to knees.
- 3Hold for 10–20 seconds, breathing normally.
- 4Lower and repeat on the other side.
Keep the shoulder away from your ear. Progress to straight legs only when this is easy.
